So, we made a thing. What kind of thing you ask? Well, it's a timelapse video of course! Not just any kind of timelapse either;it has hyperlapse elements as well. Basically, it means that the camera moves through a shot instead of staying stationary. It's my first attempt and I learned a lot. Mainly, bring along a better tripod head for steadier shots. The whole project required 2 trips to the Disneyland Resort with over 5,000 photos taken. A little more than 3,400 photos were actually used because the rest came out pretty awful.
I used my trusty and beloved Sony A7s along with an array of lenses in order to achieve the shots. Oddly enough, the smoothest shots were handheld and shot without a tripod. This was due to the ill-suited tripod head that was equipped on my travel tripod. Overall, the results were ok and I learned a lot about what works and doesn't work for me. Not to mention that some of these were shot in the blistering heat in huge crowds. Patience is indeed a virtue. Watch the vid and tell us what you think!
