Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan will exit the franchise after upcoming Han Solo Film

A recent interview by German tabloid Bild (translated by The Hollywood Reporter) revealed that longtime Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan is going to be stepping away from the series.

Kasdan ,co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, has been helping with the new relaunch since 2013.  Kasdan joined Disney and was set to produce one of the many spin-offs Disney has in mind. Then J.J. Abrams entered the picture and Kasdan was recruited to become the screenwriter for Star Wars: Episode VII. That's a pretty impressive resume that should ease some fans fears about the future of the series.

" I have now made four Star Wars movies. That's more than enough."

Kasdan is still set to co-write and produce a spin-off (the Han Solo film), but states that the 2018 project will be his last in the franchise. Kasdan stated , " I have now made four Star Wars movies. That's more than enough." Kasdan would not have jumped on board had it not been for his family's excitement over the project. Thankfully, he agreed and is set to co-write the film alongside his son John Kasdan.

I'm able to eat 25 Mcnuggets in a row and maintain total composure. It's important to note that I have zero useful skills and will be the third to perish once the country runs out of corn syrup and the end days begin. I have zero allegiances to any gaming company or platform and go where the games are. Anime is my domain and I am a lower tier noble with hopes of becoming a duke. Oh, and I kinda started the site and trick- I mean, convinced some friends into helping.
