Google isn't the only company that can get a new logo. Verizon just unveiled their own new logo after acquiring AOL for $4.4 billion. I guess that goes to show that AOL can still be considered relevant. Below you can see the old logo on the left and the new logo on the right.
The giant red checkmark has finally been reduced in size and no longer stands out as the eyesore that it was. The cleaner Helvetica typeface gives the logo " a cleaner, more human design and the checkmark, the universal symbol for getting things done, uniquely expresses the reliability of Verizon ,". It's just corporate lingo for " we're bigger and wanted to make that obvious through our logo". Tell us what you think in the comments below. Be honest and uniquely express your ideas.
