Ghost in the Shell moves from Disney to Paramount

The live action film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell has moved from Disney to Paramount for distribution. Dreamworks is still producing the film with Paramount now co-financing the movie based on the hit anime and manga. Disney had announced a March 31st, 2017 release date which has not changed during the switch from Disney to Paramount.

The film garnered some attention online when Scarlett Johansson was cast as the main female lead. This was due to such a high profile actress  signing onto the movie and because the character she is playing is Japanese in the source material.

The Ghost in the Shell movie has also been a major influence on other film makers with it's distinct cyber-punk setting. The Wachowskis showed the film to producer Joel Silver as their pitch for The Matrix.

Avi Arad and Steven Paul are producing, with Michael Costigan, Jeffrey Silver, Tetsu Fujimura and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa exec producing.

I'm able to eat 25 Mcnuggets in a row and maintain total composure. It's important to note that I have zero useful skills and will be the third to perish once the country runs out of corn syrup and the end days begin. I have zero allegiances to any gaming company or platform and go where the games are. Anime is my domain and I am a lower tier noble with hopes of becoming a duke. Oh, and I kinda started the site and trick- I mean, convinced some friends into helping.
